On Black

Born and raised in rural Alaska, Lanae lived a life of both remote adventure on the tundra and European refinement with travel and summers in England. Much of her work deals with the conceptual and cultural struggle to exist in two worlds that strive to be mutually exclusive of the other. On Black brings the worlds together in a way that is as modern and relevant as it is traditional.
