Dear Lanae,

I'm tickled pink about April.  I know I promised to use my words better, but I'm going to have to be a liar on this one because - you know - I'm just so tickled.

After stopping by La Familia, be sure to go next door to Punch (not that you would ever miss it).  Not only do they have a great show, but it is also their first anniversary so show them some love.  They deserve every bit of it.

Chasing Tales:
ready for consumption
The Motivation Behind the Madness:
by Lanae Rivers-Woods

You may or may not know that I was born with a rare, but serious condition they call wanderlust.  Although not deadly, it is incurable.  People with this condition find it impossible to gather moss or let the grass grow beneath their feet.

A little over a year ago I decided it was time someone spoke up for those living in this untreatable state, and - although it was difficult and fraught with havoc- I chose to take one for the team and settle down to write my new novel Chasing Tales.

A timeless story of wanderlust and self-discovery, Chasing Tales follows a wide cast of characters between three continents, a variety of countries, and a multitude of changes as they search for the reasons why.

It is my hope that the Chasing Tales series (two more books are in the works) will lead to more open dialogue and understanding between the wandering and the planted.

Chasing Tales is available in limited release with the official shindig planned for summer (and by shindig I mean a big party).  If you would like a sneak peek, feel free to click below and buy Chasing Tales - where it is in limited release - today!

REVIEW of CHASING TALES:
"Wood's has a brilliant eye for social dialogue, character sketches, and rendering of the present day. Whether the characters are in Italy, alive with exploration, or struggling with lost love after two heinous suicide bombs rip through an Israel store, the book continues to engage the reader. Chasing Tales is alive with the beauty and the wreckage of this modern day world, and it's woven together with a storyteller's grace. Woods is particularly adept at treading the line between poignant and workaday, and is worth reading for the rarity of this alone."
